Payments deep dive
This page lays out exactly how money moves through OhMy.xin. For amounts and rates, Pricing & fees at a glance is the source of truth.
The life of a membership fee
Section titled “The life of a membership fee”- Order — the member picks a plan and an order is created, valid for 15 minutes; it expires automatically after that.
- Payment — the member pays through the Mixin payment page (QR code or deep link); they can also choose “Pay with other assets” to settle through Mixpay at the live exchange rate.
- Confirmation — the platform polls Mixin transfer records and usually detects the transfer within seconds (at most about half a minute), then matches the payment note (handled automatically — nothing to enter by hand).
- Activation — membership starts immediately; settlement then follows: the platform takes a 10% platform service fee, the inviter bonus goes to the inviter, and the remainder is paid out directly to the circle owner’s Mixin wallet via a platform-initiated safe transfer, usually within seconds to a few minutes.
Order statuses
Section titled “Order statuses”| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Awaiting payment | Ordered but not yet paid; the 15-minute countdown is running |
| Paid | The transfer is confirmed and membership is active |
| Completed | Settlement and payout are done |
| Expired | Time ran out without payment; nothing to do |
Rejections & refunds
Section titled “Rejections & refunds”A transfer that arrives but doesn’t match an order is rejected — it never takes effect — and is refunded to the sender after a manual review by the platform. Common reasons:
- Underpayment — the payment is less than the order amount.
- Trace mismatch — the transfer doesn’t correspond to any order awaiting payment (for example, paying for the same order twice).
- Wrong recipient — the transfer’s recipient details don’t match the order.
Refunds for mismatched payments go out after the platform’s manual review, which takes some time — contact support with the Trace if you’re waiting on one. These refunds, on the other hand, are automatic: the unclaimed portion of an expired red packet returns to its creator, and the un-won portion of a lottery pot returns to whoever funded it.
How to trace a payment
Section titled “How to trace a payment”- Order details — members open any order under Mine → Orders to see its Trace and jump straight to Mixin to view the original transfer; circle owners search Money → Orders by order number, trace id, or member.
- Every transfer’s Trace is globally unique — the anchor for all reconciliation.
