Lifecycle: dormancy, reconnect & transfer

After 30 days of no activity, the admin team gets warnings first (starting 3 days before dormancy, up to three times); once the timer runs out, the bot goes offline and the circle enters dormancy:

  • Members opening the circle see a “Dormant” page with a Wake up button.
  • Opening the circle from the console wakes it, and the bot reconnects shortly after.
  • A dormant bot no longer receives messages; renewing VIP lifts dormancy automatically.

Settings → Bot connection (or the bot settings page):

  • Disconnect — pauses the connection to the Mixin Network and stops message delivery; you can reconnect any time.
  • Reconnect — restores the connection once validation passes. Note: you can only reconnect the same Mixin bot (client ID); to switch bots you have to delete the circle and start over (one bot maps to one circle).
  • Rotate credentials — requires disconnecting first; reconnecting asks you to type the circle number to confirm, guarding against accidents.

Settings → Danger zone → Transfer ownership (owner only):

  1. Enter the target member’s Mixin ID and tick the confirmation.
  2. It takes effect immediately, no acceptance needed: they become the owner (revenue and payouts go to their wallet from then on), you become an admin, and your console access is unchanged.
  3. Both parties receive a private message, and the action is written to the History.

Admins cannot perform the transfer on the owner’s behalf; double-check the recipient’s Mixin ID.

Delete from the danger zone on the bot settings page: the bot must be disconnected first; deletion removes the circle’s data and clears the stored bot credentials. Deletion is irreversible — to just pause, use disconnect or let the circle go dormant naturally.
